The Lost was awarded Civis Media Prize in the category Entertainment with the motivation: “An extremely intense series episode with a great acting performance by the lead actor, who convincingly conveys human frailty. The film sheds light on the criminal business with refugees, on what it can do to them, but also what it can do to smugglers. The fatal course of events out of control is narrated soberly, almost as if in a reportage, thus creating enormous pull.” The prize honors people for radio and television broadcasting projects that promote peaceful coexistence within the European immigration community. SVT was last awarded a CIVIS Media Prize for Zlatan for Sweden with the times in 2019.

At INPUT in Taipei SVT was invited to present Flashback Election and The Situation Room, both in Innovative Factual, as well as The Nicotin Trap in Factual Programmes for Young Audiences and Grandmaster vs Sweden in New TV Formats.

The Great Moose Migration was nominated at Prix Italia in the category Digital Factual. The portrait of Swedish Sámi artist Britta Marakatt-Labba, Historjá - Stitches for Sápmi, was also nominated at Prix Italia, in the arts category, as well as at Prix Europa, in the documentary category. In TV Iris the documentary about Afghan comedienne Hamida was nominated. Blackwater, produced by Apple Tree Productions in co-production with SVT, Filmpool Nord and ARD Degeto, for SVT, walked away with the Taurus trophy in its category. An extract from the jury report reads: “The investment in the characters and set-up deserves applause. This slow paced storytelling is a brave choice in days of fast editing and plot developments. Blackwater takes the long road that keeps the audience intrigued through the slow build-up of incomplete revelations.”

Blackwater was also nominated at C21 in Best Non-English-Language Drama Series, alongside The Big Fix, produced by Nexiko Drama for SVT. The Good Mothers (Disney+) won the category. Blackwater was also nominated at Series Mania in Lille, where it was awarded the Best-Series trophy in International Panorama. Suspense drama Taelgia was nominated at This Series in Aarhus.
